Fairytales as precursers of childrens' literature: What
belongs to one's own culture? What is regarded as foreign?
Unlike in any other genre, cross-border material and motifs
can be established in fairy tales and other folk stories; this
also applies to the language of pictures. The sources and
archetypes of German-language fairy tales are a common
European cultural heritage and can be found in the
international
storytelling literature. |
