Hassan Erraji tells stories from the Berber mountains, Arabian folk
tales, animal and other stories that he wrote or learned from the
elderly of his comunity where this tradition is part of every day
life.
As a young boy, Hassan used to regularly go to the famous square of
Jamaaa Al Fna in Marrakesh and avidly listend and memorised the
fascinating stories from 1001 Nights, Joha and Dadda Lfahim, told
and acted live on the square by popular storytellers of the time.
Marrakesh city is well known for its rich and diverse stories,
tales, fables, its infectious music and humour, all of wich greatly
marked Hassan´s life and future profession.
Hassan´s story programme is wide ranging and colorful, with
traditional music/songs supporting and illustrating, but not
overshadowing, the stories as they unfold. Stories that capture the
ausience´s imagination, sometimes funny other times less so, tales
that make you live in a world of magic and fantasy for a while,
initiate questions about the human race or lack of it, make dream
and much more...
