"I have got a story to tell!" One of Diane Ferlatte´s
most vivid memories of listening to her relatives tell stories on
her grandmother´s porch in New Orleans. It was only after the
adoption of her three year old son Joey, that she became interested
in telling stories herself. After weeks of searching for creative
ways to initiate an interest in books and less in his interest in
television, she began to use animation of characters to reach him.
It worked! Diane again became enamored with the wisdom and charm of
storytelling.
Diane has been a featured storyteller at the annual National
Storytellingfestival held in Jonesborough, Tennessee. She has also
toured internationally in New Zealand, Australia and Bermuda, and
was already nine times guest of "The long night" in Graz.
Perhaps her most exciting moment came when she performed at the John
F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. in the
salut to children as part of President Clinton´s inauguration.
