Elisabeth was born in Sisimiut, Greenland, on 30th August 1958 and grew up in Greenland. At the beginning of the 80s she moved to Denmark to attend an acting school for indigenous people. In 1986 she went to Japan to study theatre and dance and she returned to Scandinavia in 1988.
In Swedish Lapland she has participated in a Sami Theatre group. Elisabeth has also appeared on Swedish Radio and Swedish and Japanese Television. Since 1990 she has been working as a free-lance actress . She gives lessons in drama, Greenlandic mask dance and Japanese butoh dance at many high schools and theatre schools in Scandinavia, as well as in Sweden and Norway. Also she participates at workshops in connection with different conferences and festivals and represents Greenland and the culture of Greenland all over the world.
