Klaus was born and raised in Goettingen, Germany. After graduating from High School, he worked at numerous Theaters as actor and director. In 1973 he studied drama and stage direction at the University for Music and Theater in Hannover. Thereafter he had engagements at Theaters in Stuttgart, Munich and Castrop-Rauxel. Later he formed his own Production Company. Compelled by his special talent and his interest in story telling he began to present his repertoire for old and young in the form of 'one-man-shows'. Just as performers in ancient times, when wishing was still helpful to make dreams come true, he tells his old and new stories with impressive gestures, poses and mimics, always interacting with his captive audience.
He currently resides in Cologne, Germany. He performs year round throughout Germany and neighboring countries. Besides his solo performances as storyteller in libraries, schools, theaters an kindergartens, Klaus Adam produces audiobooks an videos for old and young audiences. As time allows he works at theaters as director and author and gives seminars at continued education facilities in the art of storytelling.
Klaus Adam clearly demonstrates with his own very special art of storytelling, that this almost vanishing media form, stimulates not only, but mainly in children, the interest in reading and curiosity for the world of literature, in a predominately electronic media society.
Klaus Adam can tell his stories at any place, at any occasion and at any time. For a period of about 60 minutes and without special technical requirements Klaus Adam with his showmanship will leave a lasting impression on his audience.
