Biography:

Frieder Kahlert´s THEATER MASKARA and his FAIRY-TALES FOR ALL OCCASIONS Theater Maskara alias Frieder Kahlert narrates and acts wonderful stories and fairy tales from all over the world, for which he uses fine leather masks which he himself has made. He unites the old tradition of story telling with the Commedia dell´arte in his own way. Language, masks and mimics merge with humour and improvisational skills to produce a very special fairy tale style. Masked or unmasked, Frieder Kahlert acts all the parts himself while also integrating his audience. He sings, plays drums and saxophone, and is a colourful figure in the streets clothed in his cheerful Zani costume.
