The members are students, members and graduates of the Karl-Franzens-University and the Erzherzog-Johann-University of Graz.
During the last years the orchestra has established a repertoire including well chosen baroque-music, "classical music of Vienna" and the works of Schubert, Mendelssohn and Grieg. Furthermore, more modern composers, such as Benjamin Britten, Samuel Barber and commissioned compositions of Franz Cibulka and Gerhard Nierhaus (both from Graz) have always been added to the programme.
Invitations for concerts made us travel to Greece (Athens and Thessaloniki), the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Utrecht), Vienna and to various "district" cities in Styria. |
